The Community Sitting Project 

We begin again on Jan 6, 2025 at 7am

With so much vying for our attention we can feel depleted, distracted, and disconnected from each other and the parts of ourselves that feel like home. It doesn't have to take a whole life overhaul to reign your energy in, remember what is important, and to contribute to your community.

This month long membership is for anyone who wants to regain focus, clear mind clutter, calm your Nervous System and move through the day with a sense of purpose. 

We begin on January 6th and sit together through the 31st. Afterwards you have 4 months of pre-recorded practices that you can continue to sit with or continue on your own!

If you find yourself saying that you would like to begin a meditation practice, but can never find the time, this project is for you.

What is "Sitting"?

Sitting is short for Sitting Meditation Practice. In this Live Stream 30 day sitting project we will sit together for 10 minutes each morning at 7am Mon- Fri.

Can't make it live?

A recording is uploaded into our portal for you to practice with anytime!

On Saturday and Sunday you can continue with the week's practice on your own or practice along with one of several recorded longer guided sessions.

This was my first time practicing sitting, and I am so grateful for this experience. As I’ve been learning about myself, one thing I need to improve on is living in the present, and this course really helped me to do that each morning.

Even on the days when I did not make it to class, I was able to go back and use one of the previous classes to guide me on my own sitting time.

I hope to keep this practice going. I also really enjoyed the morning thoughts that Christy shared each day, they were always inspiring and helpful for self reflection. I feel this class really gave me some great tools to improve my day to day life. Thank you Christy!

Holding the Space

Christy Naida Linson will be holding the space for you in this project. A longtime Yoga student, instructor and founder of Aligned Flow®, and co-owner of Prana Yoga Center, Christy first found meditation within an ashram in Maui in 1999. Her curiosity led her to study meditation in the Shambhala lineage at Naropa University in Boulder, CO and with several mentors since. She feels best when her practice is consistent (although it isn't always). She is most passionate about the ways that contemplative practice heals individuals, families, and communities and reminds us that, whatever we learn about ourselves, we are not alone.

I have a very hard time meditating, and I have difficulty developing the discipline to do it on my own, but need to figure out a way to do so because my anxiety has increased due to my job.

Anyway, Christy's meditations are the only meditations I can do (whether live in this forum or in a yoga class) without being completely distracted. Her kind spirit, soothing voice, calming presence, and gentle guidance makes meditating less hard.
